I didn’t set out to become a senior care advisor. Like many families, I arrived here out of love, fear, and urgency.

My journey began when I noticed something wasn’t right with my mom. This wasn’t just typical forgetfulness. She was struggling to collect her thoughts, missing medications, and she couldn't properly think through the steps to make a meal. When she got lost on a walk through the neighborhood I finally realized she wasn’t safe on her own anymore.

We tried in-home care, but it wasn’t the right fit. It was expensive, inconsistent, and even with help, I was constantly worried. I had young children at home and couldn’t be there to care for her every day. Moving her in with us wasn’t a real option. I found myself torn between caring for my mom and caring for my kids - both impossible to do fully.

I started looking into assisted living and memory care communities, but nothing felt clear. I didn’t know what level of care she needed or what “aging in place” really looked like in these settings. And everything came with a big price tag.

Eventually, with guidance from someone who knew the system, I found the right place. A place that fit not just her medical needs, but her personality and dignity too.

After walking that road with my own mom, I felt called to help other families walk it too. That’s why I started Peachtree Pathways: so you don’t have to feel lost, alone, or out of options. I’ll help you find the right next step - just like someone once helped me.
